When I started playing Final Fantasy XIV there was a very lively Roleplay community on Tumblr where I was lurking at the time. I saw a lot of people were Roleplaying NPCs and I thought to give it a try. And so, I made an NPC RP blog!! It was my first time writing an existing character! I picked a more unpopular and very much disliked NPC called Teledji Adeledji and if you know who he is, you know. If you don't? Well you can read about him online :D;; I very much enjoy redemption arcs and the more difficult the character the more engaged I get.. and he was challenging to write - in a good way mind you.

As roleplays and interactions with other players went along, I started to get more and more story ideas and so one day I decided to test the waters with Mirage Crown chapter 1. I was so blown away by the positive reactions!! I couldn't believe so many people got so engaged into the little story I began to weave. It really encouraged me to keep drawing and complete the comic. I have a ton of fond memories both on tumblr and in FF14 all because one day I decided to RP this bad lalafell :D He will always have special place in my heart!

Now with how social media has been going, AI all around and everything I thought it will be nice to move this slice of creativity I dropped into the fandom so it won't be completely lost in the social media abyss.

Mirage Crown was started in January 2018 and finished in October 2018. While this site is built in 2024, I added the original date the comics were posted in the archive page.
