I’m starting to think that grumps is denny muse…
It started after the many times Denny Used her anvil on her teacher’s head…that in fact is a portal to the other world, doing that not only her teacher head was affected, but also grumps head, as a side effect he lost his memories and now her teacher, true spawn of hell, Satan reincarnate, Bringer of doom and torture and the Dragon guy from before are after her…in the end they are the same person(Not) and later, in a battle with swords she will find out that He’s her father (not) and grumps is her muse O_O!
oh god…here ends the noob theory….

I like how Grumps looks all high and mighty in the fifth panel. And Denny has seriously hit a nerve to make Grumps go off like that.

Hmm…I don’t see how Grump’s could be Denny’s muse if she never quit being creative. If she’d given up on her drawings years ago, then it would be plausible. (But I am betting on her becoming his owner.)
Remember the picture Denny was drawing on the very first page? It wasn’t near complete, but the hair was starting to resemble Grumps. I wonder if that was on purpose.

That’s actually a good skill to have… also, Denny’s on the floor, so is Grumps… staring off into space as he talks about the muse gate? And I am also wondering what exactly a muse-gate is… and I feel like this isn’t the last we’ve seen of the word ‘muse’ used in different contexts…

Seriously, the forum is literally called the Muse Gate. You’d find out this stuff in, like, 5 minutes (game time) if you joined. Just… don’t join just to find out. It’s not fun when people join and suddenly vanish. *glares at Eugene*

It is pretty funny how I thought this will be shortest chapter, yet it turned out to be the longest. Life got pretty busy at the moment but won`t allow it to get me fall behind or put the comic on hiatus.

Grumps, being Denny’s muse ? I doubt it. He could however have been in his previous muse life (as the Wind of Muse keeper ?) owned by the 1st or the 2nd chosen one, and his bond could have been broken when said chosen one was thrown back to earth realm cursed with amnesia (Remember what the void master said : the previous chosen ones have been sent back to ignorance).
Never able to repair his bond with his owner, the keeper would have died an un-muse. Except, since muses always get reborn instead of truely dying, he would have been reborn as our Grumpy.
My Theorical part being that there is a difference between muse rebirth and un-muse rebirth. Muses get reborn seemingly completly new, having no memory of their previous incarnation (wich explains why even Levasu does not know about Muse rebirth). Un-muse, on the other hand, would get their rebirth imperfect, and their amnesia only partial, leading to the unpleasant feeling of having lost memory of what they think is past events from their current life, instead of knowing it’s their previous life. Additionally, Un-muse would get reborn as un-muse again, ending up trapped in a vicious cycle until they finally get a new owner.
As a result, Grumpy here gets flashbacks of his previous life as the Wind of Muse keeper from time to time, but can’t make the difference between those flashbacks and his current life and thinks he’s simply struck by amnesia, while he actually sees in those flashbacks what he was as the Wind of Muse keeper. It also explains why he’s the only one able to handle the Wind of Muse, something not even Zenther, mighty Messenger of Fyria, cannot.
