Picky little English usage item in panel 1: You can’t “put something down” unless you’re holding it. Desmond would probably say “get me down” or “help me down” rather than “put me down”. (Putting something down is the opposite of picking it up. After you pick it up, you’re holding it. Then when you put it down you’re no longer holding it.)

There is an exception to this: “put down” is sometimes used to mean “euthanize”. So if you have a pet that is sick and suffering and won’t get better, you may choose to have it “put down”.

…yeah, that linguistic error should have caught my attention. Apparently I’m getting pretty good at the mental auto-correct.

Anyway, I’m half expecting some huge voidy sea monster or something in the next panel. Probably not gonnna happen, though ^^;
I suspect Momiji is more likely to be correct, though.
