This was test reply to test if comments can be done now without the need of approval, yay!
Probably not a good idea for security reasons…
I didn’t have approval on the previous place and it worked fine! ^_^;
I’ve noticed reduce if replies lately, could be the holidays maybe? I thought it’s the whole needing of approval which I’ve been bashing my head for months trying to figure out where it comes from! It turned out it was just a plug in needing to be deactivated. >_>;
The thing is, your comments can be posted by annonymous and guest visitors. In fact, since you have no account system as far as i can tell, everybody is a gues visitor.
That means robots can come and post anything in your comment section, which will become more and more likely to happen as your website grows in popularity. Not to mention human spammers or bad behaving people.
In such situation, the reply approuval is needed. That’s what helps filtering wanted and unwanted comments, as well as keeping policy in check. Additionally if you had an account system, you could make people loggued in have no need to wait for approuval. That would be a good balance between the 2, plus would add the benefit of having an identifyed community of followers, instead of ghostly visitors that happen to always use the same nicknames. ;)
Hmm! A good point. I do occasionally get spam post but it’s usually once or twice a week *knocks on wood!* but I never think it will get really that bad! I honestly don’t think this place is popular enough for spam invasion or crazy followers. I should knock on wood again. ^_^;;
I will look into this register account thing! I think I spot it while fiddling with options at the settings last night.
Rule of the internet (developper and webmaster side at least) : the more paranoid you are, the better. It’s normal to be targeted for attacks, but as far as possible none shall be successful. A robot managing to post an unwanted comment here is a successful attack to some degree, there could be much more damaging attacks out there. And some light attacks are looking for weaknesses for the bigger ones to exploit.
Don’t underestimate the importance of security on the internet. Probably even more if you think you’re not that big multinational company. ;)
Hm! I see how this is done so turning it on won’t be a problem in the future. I’d say, if I start getting spam or weirdos, I will turn registration on! ^_^b
The seducing witch just became a local heroine without knowing it, saving the locals from an incubus…
However, the 2 witches could want to fix that accident and free the incubus before their eyes…
And that’s why one should be careful what kinda potions they mix! XD
I believe he’s already a shapeshifter, so this shouldn’t last long, in theory.
The shock is great though! XD
He’s an illusion caster, letting others see him as he wants them to. That’s shown by his instant cloth change combined with lack of horns when he assumes his knight appearance, and goes well with the fact he can secude any heart.
However, we’re dealing with a potion splash that puts a curse on him. Not so easy to break such a thing, is it ? :)
And add the woes of being a frog! A frog of all creatures! It’s really a bad day for the winter incubus, I say.
